Nail Fungus
Laser Treatment
Fungal free nails with state of the art laser therapy that is about 70-80% effective in the average fungal nail in clinical studies depending on degree of infection. This new treatment requires no anesthesia, no medications, no blood work. Hands on care by a board certified doctor to help you through your nail problem.
Fungal nails (onychomycosis) can be painful, cause an odor, embarrassing, and simply difficult to manage and cut. In some cases even develop into other problems including bacterial infection. Because it is an organism it can spread to other nails, the surrounding skin and even your partner or members of your family. Are you comfortable in your barefeet or wearing sandals around others? We are very excited for this new technology that has been shown to have little to no side effects, and most importantly will safely free you from your nail worries.

At Flatirons Laser Nail Center, we offer the new, state-of-the-art laser treatment for nail fungus. Dr. Steed is one of 2 doctors to bring laser treatment for nail fungus with the original pinpointe laser to Colorado. After seeing the success, but not pleased with the success rate, he has changed over to the more advanced Cooltouch laser which is FDA cleared for the treatment of nail fungus and in his experience demonstrates improved results, improved efficiency and improved comfort.
Laser treatment is not necessarily the "magic bullet" for fungus, they are challenging bugs. Dr. Steed will use his expertise to customize your treatment plan which could include topicals, oral medications and/or LASER therapy. Everyone is different in their preferences to treating this condition. We understand that most are trying to avoid the risks of oral medication which is a major reason why Dr. Steed offers laser therapy.

To the left is a before and then 4 month after photo of the same nail, same patient, no touchups, no editing, no burring of the nail before the photos. The after shot is exactly the nail as is 4 months after laser treatment. The nail has months to still grow out, but shows excellent response in just 4 months. This is not unusual at all for patients that we are seeing.
